Kailey + Evan {Maternity}

Hello everyone!

I hope your week is off to a fantastic start!  This past weekend I had the chance to meet and photograph Kailey and Evan!  Thanks for braving the cold guys, and congrats on your sweet little one!

Oahu, Hawaii

Sorry I have been MIA.  My husband and I just got back from attending his cousin’s wedding in Hawaii!

Neither of us had ever been to Hawaii and this was our 1st trip without our kiddos, needless to say… We were so excited for this!  We stayed in Hauula, Hi and spent so much time driving around the North Shore and stopping at every beach we could!!!  We packed a LOT into 1 week, these were some favorites:

  • Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck in Haleiwa (My favorite meal!)
  • Sunsets and Sunrises on the beach (We stopped at every single beach we could and loved every minute of it!)
  • Dole Pinneaple Plantation – The train ride is awesome and a Dole Whip Sundae is a must!
  • Uncle Bo’s Pupus in Haleiwa (The Hawaiian Lemonade and Shrimp tacos are so yummy!)
  • Diamond Head was a beautiful hike and not too difficult (Plus I got to cross Hike up a Volcano off my bucket list, yes…I know I have a weird list).  We got up early and started our hike at sunrise and it was just beautiful!
  • Hike Koko Head….  This was BRUTAL!  My husband almost made it to the top and I stopped half way, but if you are up to a challenge this was one!
  • Watch a surfing tournament!  The north shore is known for its waves and we spent so much time watching those waves and surfers!
  • Motsumoto Shaved Ice in Haleiwa (I recommend that you get ice cream as an add on…So yummy!)
  • Pearl Harbor – We weren’t able to go out to the USS Arizona Memorial due to weather, but to be there and take in all the history…Wow.
  • Kualoa Ranch – Site of so many movies/tv shows!  We are HUGE Jurassic Park/World fans and to be on-site and see all sorts of props had us nerding out.
  • Island Vintage Coffee – There are multiple locations and my husband was a huge fan of their Iced Hot Chocolate, the acai bowls looked amazing too!

Needless to say… It was a photographer’s paradise!
